One of a stated 500 copies in mustard wrappers published the year after his first book (from Cummington Press); 8vo. 44pp. Quite uncommon in the marketplace despite the stated printing; republished in 1984 in the US. His next book would be selected for the Lamont Poetry Prize for best first book; among his many awards are the National Book Award, Wallace Stevens Award and Ruth Lilly Prize. This copy briefly inscribed in 1994, and additionally signed. Light wear at corners, but still about fine. A wonderful copy. Near fine. Item #12965
